Desde el pasado diciembre que cocinábamos un destino de viaje para la Semana Santa del 2018, se comentaron países como Turquía, Marruecos, Islandia, Irlanda…pero finalmente por goleada, la ganadora fue Irlanda, tierra de magia y leyendas .
Tres meses después, hemos disfrutado de cinco mágicos días en este país, recorriendo en coche des de la costa este hasta la oeste y nos ha dejado enamorados.
Nada más llegar al aeropuerto, hicimos carretera y manta y llegamos al Parque de Wicklow, un jardín con mucho encanto y a los pocos kilómetros, dormimos en Bunratty, un pueblecito monísimo y con un castillo impresionante.
Al día siguiente, madrugamos y llegamos a los Cliffs of Moher, unos acantilados impresionantes y quizás está en el top 3 de los lugares imprescindibles de Irlanda. Por la tarda fuimos a visitar Galway, una ciudad de la costa con un ambiente muy agradable y lleno de Pubs, y fue en Galway donde pasamos la 2a noche.
3r y penúltimo días, salimos bien pronto por la mañana y fuimos directos hacia el Parque de Connemara, otro parque que te deja encantado aunque menos verde que el de Wicklow. Por la tarde recorrimos alrededor de unas 3 horas hasta llegar a la capital, Dublin.
Varias opiniones de amigos y conocidos me habían comentado que Dublin les había decepcionado, pero para mí fue toda una grata sorpresa. Dublin no deja de recordarte un poco a Londres con sus edificios de obra vista y sus distintas puertas de colores pero la cantidad de Pubs que hay en la zona de The Temple Bar son 100% Irlanda.
La verdad es que durante todo el viaje nos hizo muy buen tiempo, no nos llovió hasta el último día, es por eso que no aparece ninguna foto de Dublin, pero así tengo la excusa perfecta para volver!

As soon as we arrived at the airport, we were driving by several roads since we arrived at Wicklow Park, a charming garden and a few kilometers away, we slept in Bunratty, a very cute little village with an impressive castle. The next day, early in the morning we reached the Cliffs of Moher, some impressive cliffs and probably is on the top 3 of the essential places of Ireland. By the afternoon we went to visit Galway, a city with a very nice atmosphere and full of Pubs, and it was in Galway where we spent the 2nd night. 3rd day, we left early in the morning and went to Connemara Park, another park that eclipses you but less green than Wicklow. In the afternoon we traveled around 3 hours until we reached the capital, Dublin. Several opinions from friends have told me that Dublin had disappointed them, but for me it was a big surprise. Dublin remains at some point to London with its brick buildings and its different colored doors, but the number of bars in the The Temple Bar area is 100% Ireland. The truth is that during the whole trip we had a good weather , didn’t rain us until the last day, that’s why no picture of Dublin appears, but I also have the perfect excuse to return!
